Here at Dutchworks, we have raised Dutch for over 28 years. The emphasis for the program has been on Steels. We breed for type, markings, color and temperament. Our lines include Hooper, Hawkeye's (Mixdorf's) and, of course, our own. Once Katherine became old enough to have caught the "bunny bug", she solidly declared and claimed all the dutch as hers! They are a wonderful breed and are the perfect size and personality for her to handle. Her herd averages no more than 25 Dutch.

Reg. Gr. Ch. Hawkeye's Mr. Giggles , Katherine's Steel Sr. Buck. Outstanding on the show tables and even more amazing as a sire! Three Best in Shows and three Reserve in Shows to his credit and more G. Ch. legs that we stopped counting. Best part of him is his wonderful personality....he is Katherine's favorite and loves the attention from her. He has become the entire cornerstone of her small breeding herd.
Kat's show record with the Dutch includes these high points:
Katherine with fellow 2009 National Dutch Show winners. Katherine is in the pink shirt.
Katherine with Sue Hill, and her BOV and Best Steel Junior Awards while at Convention. Second Picture is Dutchworks Dynamo, the winning jr. buck, sired by Reg. Gr. Ch. Mr. Giggles. Kat adores Sue and always greets her with a big hug. Sue has been a wonderful friend to our family.
Katherine with her National Dutch Show 2007 Awards. Pictured in the award is Reg. Dutchworks Josie, the winning steel jr. doe, sired by Reg. Gr. Ch. Mr. Giggles.
Here are just some of Katherine's Dutch rabbit line-up:
Reg. Dutchworks Freddie, a Black Buck (Mr. Giggles x Dutchworks Diamond) #D43 Sold and currently #12 in ADRC Rabbit of the Year Listing
Reg. Dutchworks Daisy, a Steel Doe (Dutchworks Garrett x Dutchworks Fancy)
Reg. Dutchworks Rebecca, a Steel Doe (Mr. Giggles x Dutchworks Diamond)
Reg. Dutchworks Detroit, a Steel Buck (Dutchworks Stephen x Dutchworks Trixie)
And an adorable gold doe that was a kind gift from Sue Hill (Hill's Pumpkin). Pumpkin's sire was a littermate to the 2006 ARBA Convention Best in Show winner in Texas bred/owned by Kevin Hooper. Pumpkin is an unrecognized color, being a "gold" (wide band gray) but she will bring many fine qualities we hope will cross well into Katherine's steel and gray program.
